Part 5: Beef=Good For Your Body

When you’re making your dinner at night do you think of the nutritional benefits you’re getting? Do you think, ” OH BOY am I going to get some GREAT essential vitamins and minerals! My kids are going to really enjoy these essential nutrients!” ? I don’t. Not even close. I normally am just excited if I have the ingredients to make the meal (or hope the farm boy doesn’t realize that I substituted other ingredients since I didn’t have them all).  Maybe the reason I don’t ever worry or get excited is because I know that I’m eating a healthy dinner every night. I eat beef just about every night. Sometimes I throw pork or chicken in, but it’s mainly beef.

Beef has so many wonderful things about it BESIDES the taste.

Beef has three essential vitamins and minerals. Zip, Iron, and Protein!

Beef has fat. Yep, I said it. But did you know that fat is GOOD for you? I’m not saying slice the fat off your beef and just eat that, but the fat in beef actually is good for your body and diet. You see, eating fat burns more calories. It is so much more complex that it makes your body work harder to break it down. So next time you have a steak with great marbling you can eat it with confidence knowing that it’s actually going to help you burn calories.
