Alright since all of you have been following along so well I decided that I would love to give you one of my favorite beef recipes. It’s probably going to be an acquired tastes for some—the farm boy hasn’t decided if he likes it or not. It’s no Prego, but it’s my favorite spaghetti sauce recipe. This is my grandmother’s recipe. So it’s your lucky day if you’re reading this because I don’t just share this with anyone! Follow along! 🙂
You Need:
2 lbs SHORTHORN or HEREFORD beef
1 bottle of Brooks ketchup
1 pkg of McCormick Spaghetti seasoning
1 tbsp Oregano
1 tsp Lemon Juice
Brown your meat. Take out grease. Add all ingredients. (Rinse out bottle of ketchup and add that to the dish). Make sure you got your noodles going! Let it simmer for about 15 minutes to let all the flavors soak into your meat.
Done. Eat. Enjoy!
Let me know if you make this and let me know how it taste to you! Grandma would be proud to have her eating her recipe!
(I would have pictures, but I’m better at eating my food than photographing it.)

Funny. I was just sitting here day dreaming about thawing a pound of ground beef for dinner tonight.
Not quite sure what I was going to make with it but I think I may make spaghetti!
Unfortunately, I don’t have ketchup, spaghetti sauce spices or lemon juice so I won’t be able to make your grandmother’s recipe but I do have a jar of Prego in my pantry! Shhhh, don’t tell her 🙂
And P.S. I always glance at posts before I read them to get the “over all” feel and when I saw “Prego” in there I gasped and started reading as quickly as I could. Turns out you were talking about sauce. Not babies. Hehe.
Omg I saw ‘prego’ and thought the same thing as Kelly haha. I’ll have to try this sometime because I haven’t found my ‘go-to’ recipe yet. And that’s why I don’t post many recipe posts because I’m better at eating than photographing it!
