February=American Heart Month=Beef is Good For Your Heart

I’m no expert on health–But I do know a thing or two about how beef is actually GOOD for your heart and why you can still eat meat even if you have high cholesterol or are on a diet.

Did you know that there are 29 cuts of LEAN beef? That’s a whole lot of meat! Look for the words, ‘loin’ or ’round’ for the lean pieces of meat!

It contains 3 important ingredients for a healthy diet! — Zinc, Iron, and Protein (Isn’t there such a thing as a protein shake? I think I’d rather have a steak.)

The fat in meat actually HELPS you lose weight! That’s right! It takes more calories to break down, causing more weight loss.

Lean beef has 8 times more vitamin B12, 6 times more Zinc, and 3 times more Iron than the same serving as a skinless chicken breast!

It also has the same amount of Iron as 3 cups of raw spinach and the same amount of Vitamin B-6 as 5 cups of raw spinach. I think I’d much rather have a lean piece of meat.

The nutrients in beef help you maintain a healthy metabolism! Keep burning those calories!

Beef does NOT increase your risk for cardiovascular problems!

(These are all facts from the National Cattleman’s Beef Association. They have all been scientifically researched!)

Coming from a beef farmer who has only been raised on beef—beef is one of the tastiest and best way to keep your body healthy. Look at me! 🙂 I’m a happy and healthy 23 year old!
